Established by the Xinjiang provincial government since 1952, Xinjiang Agriculture University (XAU) has been agriculture-oriented for higher education that covers agriculture, science, engineering, economy, business management, literature and law. It is spectacular in higher education to students from ethnic groups of the north-western region of China. Furthermore, over 3,000 foreign students from 30 countries have been educated in XAU since 1986.
As one of the authorized universities for Confucius Institute Scholarships, XAU warmly welcomes students from all Confucius Institutes around the world to apply its CI Scholarships, and is ready to facilitate students for a bright future. We suggest applicants reading the following instructions of the 2018 Confucius Institute Scholarship carefully, and making your choices.

I.Eligibility
1. Non-Chinese individual with a valid passport for longer than 6 months.
2. Healthy physical and mental status and excellent character and learning skill.
3. Voluntary compliance with the laws, regulations and disciplines of China, local government and hosting university.
4. Age: 17-35 (by the 1st September, 2018)
II. Categories of CI Scholarships
1. One academic year
Date of admission: September, 2018
Deadline of application: 20th of June, 2018
Scholarship supporting duration: 11 months
Minimum linguistic requirement: HSK Level-3 with a score of 180
Applicants in China will not be offered
2. One Semester
Date of admission: September, 2018 or March of 2019
Deadline of application for Date of admission:
20th of June, 2018 for September, 2018
20th of December, 2018 for March of 2019
Scholarship support duration: 5 months
Minimum linguistic requirement: HSK Level-3 with a score of 180
Applicants with visa types of X1or X2 will not be offered
3. Four Weeks
Deadline of application for Date of admission:
1.15th of January, 2018 for date of admission: March, 2018
2. 15th of March, 2018 for date of admission: May, 2018
3. 15th of May, 2018 for date of admission: July, 2018
4. 15th of June, 2018 for date of admission: August, 2018
Minimum linguistic requirement: HSK Level-1 with a score of 180
Applicants with visa types of X1or X2 will not be offered
Quotas of applicants: 10-15 to each group
III. Coverage of CI Scholarships
1. Tuition fee, accommodation and comprehensive medical insurance
2. Stipends:
￥2,500(RMB) monthly for one-academic-year and one-semester categories.
3. Accommodations: Double-bed dormitory for two scholarship winners
IV. Procedures
Applicants may start their applications of scholarship since the 1st, January 2018 at the website of Confucius Institute Headquarters (cis.chinese.cn) and:

V. Required Materials (Duplicate)
1. Application for the Confucius Institute Scholarship:
1) Download the Application form on http://cis.chinese.cn.
2) Fill the form by typewriting and get double-sided page printed in A4 size. Any incomplete document will not be processed.
3) Paste your passport-style photo and sign you name at the designated places.
2. Attested documents for highest education certificates/diplomas with transcript (original and copy ones).
3. Scanned copy of passport
4. Four passport photos.
5.Scanned copies of HSK and/or HSKK transcripts of the last two years.
6. Recommendation letter from the dean of recommended Confucius Institute.
7. A paper with more than 800 Chinese characters that introduces experiences of Chinese learning afore, explains learning plan and expecting achievement through the scholarship.
8. Clearance/ Non-Criminal Record certificate from Ministry of Public Security/ Local Police office. (Notarized/attested in Chinese /English or Chinese/Russian)
8. Health certificate by officially authorized medical organization.
9. Curriculum vitae of the applicant. (Applicant under 18 years old should submit the authorization with signature of his/her guardian in China)
Note:
1. Materials in paper should be sent to our university via EMS after being uploaded to the website.
2. Application materials will not be returned regardless of the final results.
3. The qualification of scholarship will be disavowed under the conditions listed below:
Finding of any fake material, fail to arrive at stipulated date, fail to register, fail to pass the physical examination, and drop out/ suspension of school.
